Let the Carnival begin! We will be listening and discussing the work of Saint Saëns which will be the starting point to our journey. We will walk like a lion, dance like a monkey, swirl like a mermaid and use these animals as inspiration for art and music. You will make your own masks, hats or crowns, flags to wave and of course your own musical instruments. Create things with which to adorn yourself while marching to the beat of your own drum. We will be exploring different music elements like rhythm, tempo and pitch and will create our own little compositions to celebrate the spirit of carnival!
