Numerous painting and drawing projects which will vary in length are set during the term, taking as subject: transcription, the still life and interior of the main studio at the Conservatoire. The focus will be on observational practice and projects will embrace and develop a wide range of techniques and styles, including working in pencil, charcoal, coloured pastel and acrylic/oil painting. Projects will often be related to art history and where appropriate contemporary and relevant shows/collections in London.
This class is ideal for new students and beginners, as well as more experienced artists or returning students, as teaching is almost exclusively one-to-one - tailored for the individual needs of all once the topics to be explored are underway.
