The Conservatoire has been teaching and inspiring people to play music and sing for 131 years. Our professional and experienced tutors provide individual tuition in almost any instrument you can imagine, from piano to the baroque flute.

We offer students a personalised service with lots of added value. We take the time to consider your needs so that we can match you with the perfect tutor. If you’re not quite sure what instrument to choose, we are more than happy to discuss the different options with you. We offer advice, coaching and regular progress reports. There are also opportunities to perform and collaborate with others. We want you to love your music lessons!

We teach all abilities from complete beginners to professional standard, and all ages from 5 years upwards (although this varies by instrument – see instrument list for details).

Lessons are at a fixed day and time each week. We teach through to 9pm Monday-Friday, and offer lessons on Saturdays and Sundays too.

£275 per term of 12 half-hour lessons
£190 if taken Monday-Friday 9am-3pm
