All courses are drop off. Children booked onto half day courses should bring a snack with them and those booked onto full day courses should bring a packed lunch. Please, no nuts!

Dr Seuss's Guitars

Thursday 21st February, 9.30am - 3.30pm, ages 6 - 12, £50

During this day long workshops, you will visit three different rooms each inspired by a different Dr Seuss book; The Cat in the Hat, The Grinch and Horton Hears a Who! By the end of the workshop, you will be able to perform a song or live improvisation, a Christmas song (even though the Grinch will try to to spoil it!) and composed a sound piece inspired by Horton’s stories. There will be a short performance at the end of the day. We welcome young guitarists of all levels, including complete beginners. Guitars can be hired for the session free of charge.

The School of Noise runs workshops that encourage the exploration of noise, sound and music; providing creative and imaginative activities using sound in accessible, fun and educational ways. Using a wide variety of analogue and digital equipment, activities include; sculpting sounds using small modular synthesisers, composing original experimental sound art, conducting orchestras of fruit and vegetables and preparing pianos and soundwalks plus more. There is no need to have experience playing music or using any of our equipment to take part in the workshops so come along!

Theory Intensive (10-16 yrs)
