We're glad to be part of Open House London again this year.

The Conservatoire's history goes back nearly 140 years to the time of the Arts and Crafts Movement (read more) and on this date we will be offering two tours:

Architectural Tour at 12.30pm. This tour focuses on the architectural elements of this listed Victorian building. Free entry but space is limited so book your place here!

Art Heritage Tour at 1pm. In January 1935 the Blackheath School of Art hosted lectures and an exhibition celebrating the work of sculpture teacher James Woodford at RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects). Come along and find out more about this exhibition and the school’s link with RIBA, and the history of the Art School which opened at the present site in 1897. There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the legacy of the students and teachers at the school pre 1940. Free entry but space is limited so book your place here!
