Gabrielle Lockwood Estrin is a painter and printmaker she studied undergraduate at The Glasgow School of Art with a study abroad placement at Instituto Superior De Arte in Havana, Cuba. She was awarded the Armour Award for painting and drawing in 2010.
She lived and worked in Berlin 2010-2012 where she had a studio and worked as an artist assistant, she had her 1st solo exhibtion at Staatsgalerie Prenzlauer Berg.
In 2013 she studied postgraduate at The Royal Drawing School in London. Following that she was awarded a two-year printmaking fellowship at City and Guilds of London art School.
She has exhibited her works in solo and group exhibitions in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Berlin, Havana, and USA. She has an upcoming show in Manila later this year.
Alongside her practise she works as a tutor and educator at The Royal Drawing School, City and Guilds of London Art School, Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art and other schools, galleries and museums on a freelance basis. She has been the recipient of many artist residency programmes in Scotland, Venice, Havana and most recently in NY state at the Women’s Studio Workshop.
She is currently living and working in Glasgow where she has her studio.
