We hit our target!

After an intense week-long campaign and over 40 donations, we are thrilled to say that we hit our target of £17,000 for our Sanctuary For Refugees Through Art and Music programme. In fact we even went a bit over, with a final total of £17,535!

The Big Give specialises in bringing charities, philanthropists and the public together to multiply their impact. Each year, The Big Give runs the Christmas Challenge, that raises millions of pounds for good causes over the course of one week. We took part this time and thanks to their incredible match-funding powers, every donation was doubled - allowing us to raise all this money to keep our programme going!

We'll be posting more stories of the people who benefit from our programme over the coming weeks, but in the meantime we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated. We have already seen what a difference the arts can make for refugees and displaced people, and to be able to continue this provision is just wonderful.

Finally, we'd like to say a special thanks to the Smillie Family Trust and the Human Rights Fund, whose generous match-funding helped us to reach our target.
