Welcome to our early years festive programme for December 2022. All the courses below can be booked by giving us a call on 02088520234 or by popping in to see us at reception. For more information you can also email info@conservatoire.org.uk.

EY Art 6

Nutcracker Puppeteering (Art, 0-2 yrs)

Monday 13th December, 10.00 - 11.00 (£10)

Some of the characters in the tale of The Nutcracker are the Soldier, the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Mouse King. We will make our own tube puppets, decorating them to look like these characters, and you can bring them along to our special performance of The Nutcracker. We can also make a crown so you can be Queen or the King for the day!

Toddler Tunes: The Nutcracker (Music, 18-36 mths)

Monday 13th December, 11.30 - 12.15 (£9)

Explore the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker! To engage with spontaneous music making, toddlers are encouraged to discover new instruments and find all their different voices. Move and sing along in this immersive music lesson tailored to toddlers! Please note that parents/carers need to stay with their children for this course.

Storytelling: The Nutcracker (Drama, 3-4 yrs)

If you love to make up characters then why not join us on a wonderful storytelling adventure where we transform a small room into a world of imagination? We use a holistic, creative approach to tell a story inspired by the classic story The Nutcracker, led by the children’s creativity. Are you ready for a festive journey into a magical land? We welcome giant mice, sugar plum fairies, nutcracker soldiers and children!

Build A Box Nutcracker Characters (Art, 2-4 yrs)

Monday 13th December, 14.00 - 15.00 (£10)

Decorate 3 boxes which, when placed on top of one another, build the characters from The Nutcracker. They can fit inside each other, and be used as building blocks to bring to life the Soldier, the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Mouse King. We will also make a mask or crown for you to wear during the show.
