It's Halloween, so it’s time to celebrate all of the spooky animals out there! We'll make a Halloween hanging to decorate our walls, or to put on your door for Trick-or-Treaters, and we’ll use painting, printing and threading to make some suitably creepy crawlies and creatures.

Thursday 31st October, 09.30 - 16.30 (£76)
Looking at all the endangered animals in the world, we will draw and watercolour a journal embodying the role of a jungle explorer, basing our work on real explorer's sketches and studies. What mysterious and exotic creatures have you spotted and how can we draw and annotate our journals to share with people back in London? Create samples of things you find to add to your evidence. Make a poster for your bedroom with your drawings showing the detail and character of your favourite endangered animals warning others what they need to survive and what we should do to protect them. Colour them with vibrancy and zoom in on details of their most special features. A day full of creativity and learning!

Friday 1st November, 09.30 - 16.30 (£76)
In this workshop we will be taking inspiration from the children’s novel by Michael Morpurgo. This wonderful story follows 11 year old Michael - shipwrecked, alone in the Pacific Ocean, he is washed ashore onto a deserted island, but is it really deserted? Exploring themes of survival, nature and unlikely friendships - and using artistic techniques such as dip pen and ink, wax resist, paper aging and collage - we’ll create a pictorial journal of our time in Kensuke’s Kingdom. During this workshop we will read some of the book itself as well as explore our artistic depictions of it.
