Ashleigh Charlton


Ashleigh is a Lyric Soprano from Northumberland. A versatile and socially minded artist, she's an expressive performer who has a passion for singing and teaching in participatory and collaborative environments. Ashleigh read music at Durham University (2015-2018), before receiving a Scholarship to study MA Performance at the Royal Academy of Music, she graduated with Distinction in 2020 and was awarded the Minnie Hawk Prize and Eldee Scholarship.

Ashleigh has enjoyed several aspirant Operatic roles with Royal Academy Opera, Durham Opera Ensemble and Opera Integra, she looks forward to joining the Opera Holland Park Chorus in Summer 2022. 

Also, Ashleigh has also trained as a Music Workshop Leader as an Open Academy Fellow where she worked on many outreach projects collaborating with; Wigmore Hall, English National Opera and Spitalfields Music. Now, Ashleigh is a regular facilitator on Opera Holland Park's Inspire Program. Off the stage Ashleigh co-hosts one of the UK's leading Opera podcasts - AA Opera.
