Music

Gerasim, a Russian oboist, began his musical journey by diligently studying the flute until the age of 18 at Khakas State University in Abakan city, Russia, in 2007. He then transitioned to the oboe, which would become his enduring passion.

In 2012, Gerasim received his education at the Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Music and Theatre, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He continued to refine his skills, culminating in the completion of a Master's degree from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London in 2019.

Throughout his college years, Gerasim showcased his talents as a dedicated member of a semi-professional wind orchestra, particularly excelling on the flute. After completing his Academy studies, he secured a coveted role as an oboe player at the Krasnoyarsk State Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Collaborating with Raymond Gubbay LTD, he contributed to three UK tours with the Russian State Siberian Ballet.

In 2018, Gerasim embarked on his teaching journey at East Barnet School in London, nurturing young talents. Additionally, he immersed himself in the art of oboe making during a two-year tenure at Howarth of London. Beyond teaching and his craft, Gerasim participates in national and international musical projects as a freelance musician.
